The successful candidate will have a thorough first-hand understanding of the professional development and advanced graduate needs of working professionals, as well as familiarity with the rapidly changing dynamics of organizations. The Field Representative will be the local representative for Laureate's (partner) Universities to the Carribean region He/she must have exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as an obvious and infectious passion for the professional development of our students and the value of online higher education
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Market Laureate's (partner) universities within a specific territory by attending local, regional and national conferences and events, and participate in relevant activities in local communities.
Build relationships with current students, alumni, affinity and social networking groups, associations, (expat) suppliers and other installed bases (hospitals, international schools, military bases, etc.) to identify new group potential and execute activities in which the Universities programmes can be presented and marketed.
Acquire and maintain product knowledge of Laureate's (partner) Universities degree programs and other related degree program offerings as well as the regulatory, operational and pedagogical complexities of the local industry.
With support from the Enrolment and Marketing teams, coordinate invitations, room setup, registrations, and materials for each session.
Cooperate with other Laureate staff and/or entities in the region to plan appropriate and strategic territory recruitment efforts for all Laureate's (partner) Universities degree programs.
Provide business intelligence back to central marketing department to support identification of additional sales, marketing and new product opportunities.
Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree required.
Must have 2-5 years sales experience in region
Must have truly exceptional presentation skills, and must be capable of delivering persuasive and sales-oriented presentations to both small and large groups.
Must be extremely well-organized and attentive to detail.
The successful candidate will work well under pressure and will be eager to succeed in a competitive, results-oriented environment.
Significant regional travel (50% or greater) is required.
Ability to work independently and to self-direct his/her daily activities is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is ability to work with technology and media-related communication.
